Synopsis

Kiriyama Rei, a professional shogi player, finds a strange sight waiting for him early one cold morning in front of the Shogi Association building: Hanekawa Tsubasa—a girl who looks like a cat curled up and sleeping wrapped in old newspapers.

Caught and latched onto by the model student and top-ranking academic 'class rep among class reps', Rei is pulled into an unexpected encounter. What does an unfamiliar girl found in a familiar landscape bring to Rei?
